Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week: Cliff Notes

Amanda Carey

Issue date: 11/16/07 Section: News and Opinion

During October 22- 27, The Tiger Town Observer hosted Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week. Islam is different from all other religions, and not necessarily in a good way. Liberals in America have convinced themselves that all cultures and religions, with the exception of Christianity, are equal. But, while they're busy saying things like, "Radical Christianity is just as threatening as radical Islam in a country like America" (Rosie O'Donnell on The View) and crying out against President Bush for supporting the use of interrogation tactics on terrorists by saying we are "Adopting the tactics of our enemies," (Bob Schieffer, on the CBS Evening News with Katie Couric), you, me, and other true conservatives know better.

We actually see Radical Islam for what it is. Jews don't blow things up when they get angry. Christians don't decapitate their enemies and Hindus don't try to kill cartoonists because they make fun of Hindus. For that matter, neither do Buddhists, Mormons, or Scientologists (if you consider that a religion). To us, it's rather simple. Radical Islam promotes Islamo-Fascism and it needs to be stopped. Or, in the controversial words of Ann Coulter, "we should invade their countries, kill their leaders, and convert them to Christianity." Ok, maybe that's a little harsh, but the threat of Radical Islam to the West is real, and should be taken seriously.

Consider the startling similarities between today's Radical Islam and fascist Nazi Germany. Both ideologies were extremely anti-Semitic, they both had a pursuit for world dominance, demanded the total domination of the free will of the individual, believed in the abolition of the nation-state in favor of a "higher" society (a master race), and both believed in an undemocratic government overseen by a "divine" leader. These characteristics define Islamo-Fascism You would think that when history repeats itself, people would learn from past mistakes.

But it's not that simple to a liberal. Liberals will have you believe that we must understand terrorists in order to address the problem of terrorism. We must try to understand what motivates them to commit terrorist acts, before condemning them as evil. They will even go on to say that it is perhaps the United States. that brought the 9/11 attacks on ourselves, and that we need to figure out what we did to make the world hate us. The biggest thing I've come to notice about liberals is that they can spot America's shortcomings a mile away, but are blind when it comes to Islamic evil. It's OK to hand out birth control pills and condoms to 12 year old girls, then proceed to let them get an abortion up to their 30th trimester without telling their parents, but Heaven forbid an infidel touch the Quran at Guantanamo!

Open a history book you idiot!

The West has indeed invoked the agression of all who practice Islam. Before explaining I must mention that I am not justifying terrorists what they do is wrong, and put simply violence is never justified except in self defense. (Continued…)
